St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Phlebotomy-focused team member to safely collect venous and capillary samples from adults to infants. You will interpret orders, enter results, and ensure timely processing in the LIS and hospital systems.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, adherence to ICARE principles, and collaboration with lab staff, physicians, and caregivers. The position supports ongoing education and cross-site coverage.

Qualifications

• Education and credentials met as specified for phlebotomy student or graduate.
• On track to obtain High School Diploma if in student role.
• Meets competency requirements and can operate hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients using the AIDET model and provide directions for quality experiences.
• Evaluate physician orders for specimen type, draw time, and handling needs.
• Use work lists to organize draws and lab computer systems to obtain information.
• Communicate with offices and staff to obtain codes and resolve issues.
• Safely collect specimens following lab policies to ensure accurate testing.
• Keep work areas organized and stocked for safe operation.
• Cover multiple sites and shift coverage as needed.
• Attend trainings to enhance professional growth.
