Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and specimen collection across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. You will verify orders, use the LIS, and ensure timely and accurate processing while upholding compassionate, respectful care.

The role requires high school completion, basic computer skills, and demonstrated phlebotomy competencies. Training and ongoing education are provided within a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED required or in Phlebotomy student role with 18+ and on track to graduate within 12 months.
• Competency in phlebotomy procedures and patient interaction.
• Basic computer and data entry skills relevant to lab orders and specimen tracking.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients using the AIDET model and provide instructions for quality experiences.
• Evaluate physician orders for specimen type, draw time, and special handling requirements.
• Collect specimens safely using appropriate devices and ensure timely processing in the LIS.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and communicate with pharmacy and care staff as needed.
