Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I for Edison, NJ, Monday to Friday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM with rotational weekends. This hospital-based role at JFK offers growth opportunities and a competitive pay range of $22.80–$24.45 per hour.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, data entry, and adherence to procedures. Qualifications include a high school diploma and preferred phlebotomy certification; English communication required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems.
• Navigate computer and accurately enter data.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information; collect payments as required.
• Process specimens including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones/email.
