Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Brick, NJ is hiring a Phlebotomist Representative I in a hospital setting. You will perform venipuncture and related duties while ensuring accurate labeling and handling of specimens, in a fast-paced environment.

This role requires strong customer focus, clear communication, and adherence to safety protocols. Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with rotational weekends; salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred in certain states.
• One year of phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all age groups.
• Label and process specimens according to laboratory protocol.
• Maintain cleanliness of phlebotomy carts and work areas.
• Data entry and processing specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing as required by test order.
• Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, and lab personnel.
