Job summary

The Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Phlebotomist I to provide patient-focused service and skilled specimen collections. You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections for all ages, ensure correct orders, and handle specialized specimens in a fast-paced lab setting.

You will work under safety guidelines, maintain quality logs, and assist with training staff while delivering reliable specimens to the laboratory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Certification in phlebotomy (ASCP, NPA, AMT, NHA) preferred.
• Previous lab assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Ensure orders are executed correctly and handle special specimen processing.
• Maintain safety and quality logs and assist in training.
• Deliver specimens to the laboratory and operate related equipment.
