Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Performs blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Follows safety guidelines and adheres to NP and lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Performs Phlebotomy Technique in a professional manner.
• Properly performs routine venipuncture.
• Correctly performs micro-collection and other special collection techniques.
• Discerns Phlebotomy techniques according to patient condition.
• Maintains quality assurance/quality control logs for the Phlebotomy department.
• Delivers clinical specimens to the laboratory efficiently and accurately.
