Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I to join our Troy, MI team. The schedule covers Monday through Friday 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, with every 3rd Saturday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM in Rochester, MI.

You will collect specimens, prepare and process samples, and support client service and data entry in a fast-paced clinical lab environment. The role requires clear communication in English and dedication to accuracy and safety in specimen handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens per established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders and enter data using lab systems and approved tools.
• Navigate computer and enter billing information accurately.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, transport prep.
• Perform non-patient duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
