Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I for Huntington, NY (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–3:30 PM with rotational Saturday 7:00 AM–12:00 PM). The role focuses on specimen collection, patient interaction, and accurate data entry in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities include processing specimens, assisting with billing where needed, and maintaining phlebotomy logs. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits; English communication is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical training preferred (medical assistant or paramedic).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV and WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to procedures including drug screens and biometric exams.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Review test/client information and verify orders in lab systems.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Enter billing information and collect payments per policy.
• Prepare and transport specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing).
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, sanitizing, filing, phones, email.
• Follow departmental policies and maintain logs and records.
• Assist with compiling statistics and submitting data as needed.
• Complete required online and in-person training on time.
