Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist I in Atwater, CA with a state phlebotomy license. Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay range: $21.80–$23.75 per hour. Opportunity for annual bonus based on performance and organizational factors.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, order verification, data entry, and non-patient duties. Requires English communication. High school diploma and phlebotomy certification preferred; CA/NV/WA licensure preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screening.
• Administer oral solutions as trained.
• Verify test/client information and orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately, per role requirements.
• Obtain identification and enter billing info, collecting payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and transport prep.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, supplies, sanitizing, filing, and calls.
