Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist I for Atwater, CA, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM with rotational weekends. This position requires you to have a state phlebotomy license. Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV.

Duties include collecting specimens, administering oral solutions, and verifying test orders using lab systems. You will enter data accurately, obtain patient information, and maintain phlebotomy logs and related records.

Qualifications

• State phlebotomy license required; CA license rules apply.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in CA, NV, WA.
• Strong data entry and computer navigation skills.
• English communication abilities are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify test orders and data entry using lab systems and client tools.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and related records; complete training timely.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred
