Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our Daly City team at 1440 Southgate Avenue, Suite A, Daly City, CA 94015. Schedule: Mon–Fri 7:30am–12:00pm with potential overtime and rotating weekends. You will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, enter patient data, and assist with billing as needed.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and a California Phlebotomy License. Prior phlebotomy experience and familiarity with Labcorp are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License.
• 1+ months of experience as a phlebotomist.
• Current or prior experience with Labcorp.
• In lieu of state license listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Able to attend 2‑week training in California.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
