Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Encinitas, CA. The role includes blood collection, specimen handling and data entry with a focus on exceptional patient service.

The position requires a valid California Phlebotomy License and a High School Diploma or GED; preferred candidates have LabCorp experience or at least 1 month of phlebotomy work. Schedule is Mon–Fri with possible Saturday rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License.
• 1+ month of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Current or prior experience with LabCorp is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
