Job summary

Labcorp in Madisonville, Kentucky seeks a Phlebotomist to perform blood collections, process specimens and deliver excellent patient service in a clinical setting. Schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–5:00pm; Friday 8:00am–1:00pm. Minimum: high school diploma and 1 year phlebotomy experience; preferred 2+ years in outpatient labs and a phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• Preferred 2+ years of phlebotomy in outpatient lab environment.
• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training acceptable in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately in the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments as needed.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen logs and records.
• Provide superior customer service to patients and clients.
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as required.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
