Job summary

Summit Health Management seeks a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our satellite lab network. You will perform blood draws with aseptic technique, process specimens, and prepare urine/stool collections for analysis. You will also collect H.

pylori breath tests and ensure accurate labeling and documentation of all samples. The role requires at least two years of phlebotomy experience, familiarity with LIS systems, and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification through the National Health Career Association (NHA) preferred.
• CLA Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
• Processes specimens with standard SOP.
• Prepares containers for urine/stool collection and 24-hr samples.
• Administers H. pylori breath test and related procedures.
• Labels and processes specimens for Blood Bank and OVH requests.
• Monitors inventory and restocks supplies in the phlebotomy area.
• Documents callbacks and ensures proper patient charge deletion.
• Trains new staff on lab policies and procedures.
