Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a skilled phlebotomist to join our satellite labs. This role focuses on blood culture collection using aseptic technique, processing Stat specimens, and collecting home specimens (urine/stool) with proper preservatives.

You will also handle minors' specimens and document all steps in the LIS. You will monitor inventory, support emergency staffing, and ensure accurate results reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification through NHA preferred.
• CLA Certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and laboratory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood cultures using aseptic technique.
• Process Stat specimens according to SOP.
• Collect urine and stool specimens with proper preservations (at home).
• Measure and record volume for 24-hour collections.
• Collect H. pylori Breath test.
• Handle orders for minors and complete paperwork accurately.
• Monitor inventory and replenish lab supplies.
• Log and report test results in LIS.
