Job summary

VillageMD seeks a dedicated phlebotomist to join our satellite lab team in Livingston, AL. You will draw blood cultures, collect urine/stool samples, and process specimens for the main lab, ensuring accurate labeling and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include H. pylori Breath tests, minor patient interactions, and maintaining LIS entries. Requires 2+ years phlebotomy experience and HIPAA-aware practices. On-site role with rotating weekend shifts; benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Phlebotomy Technician Certification preferred (NHA).
• CLA Certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and lab requirements.

Responsibilities

• Uses aseptic technique to draw blood cultures.
• Processes specimens and prepares containers with proper preservatives.
• Collects urine and stool specimens for home collection as needed.
• Administers and collects H. pylori Breath tests.
• Monitors inventory and replenishes supplies in phlebotomy area.
• Trains new staff in lab policies and procedures.
