Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Eureka, CA. The role involves collecting blood by venipuncture and capillary methods across age groups, traveling to several sites, and ensuring accurate patient data entry and billing where needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, California CPT license, and 1+ year of phlebotomy experience, with bilingual English/Spanish being a plus. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule, with overtime and weekend variation as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
