Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role based in Austin, TX and surrounding areas. The position involves floating to multiple sites within the Austin area, with a schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm and potential for additional daytime hours.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring accurate documentation and transport. A clean driving record and reliable transportation are required, with mileage reimbursement

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens per procedures and transport requirements.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Ensure specimen labeling, centrifugation, and packing per protocol.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and attend required trainings.
