Job summary

Labcorp in San Luis Obispo, CA is hiring a Phlebotomist Float to join our team. Schedule is Monday to Friday with hours that vary 6:00am–6:00pm; overtime and weekend coverage may be required. You will travel to additional sites as needed and collect specimens from patients of all ages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• California state phlebotomy license (CPT) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
