Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Los Alamitos, CA. This casual/per diem role covers Cypress, Buena Park, La Palma, La Mirada, and Anaheim areas with a district-wide travel expectation.

Shifts vary, typically starting early morning through early evening, Monday–Friday, with rotating weekends. Responsibilities include venipuncture for all ages, collecting specimens for testing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.

Qualifications

• California state issued Phlebotomy license (CPT) required.
• 6 months or more of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately into the system.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain logs.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Travel to additional sites as needed.
