Job summary

LCH Lab. Corp. of America Holdings is seeking a Phlebotomist – Float – Per Diem for our Louisville, Kentucky location. This casual position involves performing blood collections and providing exceptional customer service to patients. Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience and must be flexible with working hours, which may vary.

Job Title

Phlebotomist – Float – Per Diem

Location

Louisville, Kentucky

Work Schedule

This is a casual/per diem position. Hours will vary from Monday‑Friday 5:00am‑7:00pm and weekends as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient laboratory environment

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Minimum age of 21 years

Float Incentive

Additional $2.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
