Job summary

Labcorp in Paducah, Kentucky is seeking a Phlebotomist - Float - Per Diem to join our team. The role covers western Kentucky and southeast Missouri, with hours as needed and a casual per diem schedule.

You will perform blood collections, collect specimens, handle data entry, and provide friendly, accurate service to patients while supporting multiple sites. Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred; certification or training from an accredited program is required if no experience.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification or accredited training preferred if no experience.
• Ability to travel to multiple sites and provide strong patient service.

Responsibilities

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist - Float - Per Diem to join our team in Paducah, Kentucky

Work Schedule

This is a casual/per diem position, hours will be as needed. Start and end times will vary on from Monday- Friday 7:00am - 6:30pm. This position will cover locations in western Kentucky and southeast Missouri.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years’ old

As a Float Phlebotomist

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Float Incentive: Additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
