Job summary

Labcorp in Linden, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team. Workdays are Monday–Friday with hours varying 7:00am–8:30pm and rotating Saturdays 8:00am–1:00pm; travel to other sites as needed.

Responsibilities include venipuncture blood collection, specimen processing, data entry, and patient service. Requires a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year phlebotomy experience; bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred. Benefits and incentive plans available.

• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Linden, NJ. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 7:00am-8:30pm and rotating Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Bilinugal in English and Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience
• 1 year or more expereince doing blood draws on children

Additional Job Standards:

In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Flexibility to work overtime as needed Able to pass a standardized color blindness test Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation Be at least 21 years’ old

Pay Range: $17.75 - $24.00 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
