Job summary

This rolereports to the Phlebotomy Supervisor and may work at multiple locations, with weekday shifts from 8 AM to 7 PM. Training on safety procedures and patient confidentiality is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years proven experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy Technician certificate preferred.
• Without certificate must have completed a hospital or major lab training program.
• Valid State driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identify patients using wristbands or documents.
• Collect blood samples following established standards.
• Label test tubes correctly and ensure proper handling.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and safety procedures.
• Educate patients on aftercare and monitor for reactions.
