Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience with high-volume blood draws preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs venipuncture and capillary collection per policies.
• Ensures positive patient identification and proper labeling.
• Prepares, transports specimens to the lab maintaining integrity.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure comfort.
• Maintains equipment and workspace following safety standards.
• Documents patient and specimen information accurately.
• Collects timed specimens as ordered.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to resolve collection issues.
• Follows all safety and regulatory standards.
