Job summary

Labcorp in East Setauket, NY, is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-facing team. This role covers venipuncture and capillary collections across age groups, data entry of patient information, and providing courteous service at the point of care.

Typical schedule is 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday mornings with a rotating Saturday, and a pathway for growth within Labcorp. We value accuracy, teamwork, and a commitment to patient comfort.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months+ experience.
• Preferred: 1 year+ phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
