Job summary

Labcorp in Mattituck, NY is hiring a Phlebotomist for a part-time position (20 hours/week). You will perform venipuncture and capillary collections, collect specimens for tests, and ensure accurate data entry and billing support. Travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program required from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Travel to additional sites when needed
