Job summary

Labcorp in Bellmore, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. Schedule is Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with rotating Saturdays, with travel to additional sites as needed.

You will perform venipuncture/capillary collections, collect samples for drug screens, manage patient data, assist with billing, and maintain logs while delivering excellent patient service. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and phlebotomy certification or training; 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training or 3+ months as phlebotomist.
• Preferred 1+ year phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
