Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Greer, SC. The position requires hands-on blood draws, specimen labeling, and strict adherence to procedure and safety standards.

You will work M-F, 8a-5p, with a projected duration of 3 months and potential for permanent placement. The successful candidate will have a valid phlebotomy certification for the state and at least 1 year of diagnostic phlebotomy experience, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and good

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature control.
