Qualifications

• High school diploma with on-the-job training in a clinical laboratory.
• One year experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and capillary puncture for patients of all ages.
• Process and handle specimens according to lab protocol and promptly record test requisitions.
• Assist with charging, registering and ordering tests for outpatients; communicate stat and urgent testing needs.
• Answer lab phone calls and route as needed; maintain organized collection trays and work areas.
• Perform EKGs for outpatients and ensure accurate documentation and filing of results.
