Job summary

AdventHealth in Melbourne, FL is seeking a part-time Phlebotomy Technician to join our laboratory team. The schedule is Monday–Friday 6:45 am–1:30 pm with every other Saturday; location at 631 Palm Springs Dr Suite 113 Altamonte Springs, FL 32701.

You will collect specimens, process samples, and support patient care. Role requires phlebotomy skills, attention to safety policies including PPE, and effective communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy skills required and performed with accuracy.
• Proficiency in basic computer tasks and data entry.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• May perform blood collection by venipuncture and skin puncture for all ages.
• Process, transport and report patient specimens per protocol.
• Maintain safety and PPE compliance and infection control standards.
• Assist with education of clinical staff and handle customer-service issues.
• Perform point-of-care testing and quality control as directed.
