Job summary

Clear Concepts, Inc. in Saint Petersburg, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm, with an estimated duration of 3 months and beyond based on performance.

Responsibilities include blood collection, labeling, centrifugation, and proper handling of specimens while complying with OSHA/DEP regulations. Minimum qualifications include phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, plus

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles as required.
Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label accordingly.
Package specimens for transport and store per protocol and maintain specimen integrity.
