H.T. Prof Executive Search is seeking a contract Phlebotomist in Saint Petersburg, FL for a 3-month project with potential for permanent placement. The role covers blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and data entry while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, explaining procedures to patients, and maintaining accurate documentation and specimen transport. The shift is Mon-Fri, 6am-2:30pm, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilités

• Perform venipuncture and blood draws, labeling and processing specimens.
• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Follow physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
