Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc in Saint Petersburg, FL seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract opportunity with potential for permanent placement. Schedule: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm. Projected duration: 3 months with potential for perm.

You will perform venipuncture, label and process specimens, and ensure accurate data entry. Must have a phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. OSHA/DEP regulations compliance and trainings are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens per protocol.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens; update patient information.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA/DEP regulations; attend trainings.
• Check test requisitions against scripts for accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
