Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required for the state where employed.
• Minimum 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED plus 1-4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge and decontaminate specimens; maintain patient information.
• Follow test orders, match requisitions, and package specimens for transport.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Adhere to OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
