Job summary

Key People in Vista, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist on a contract basis with potential to perm. Schedule: 6AM–6PM, Mon–Fri, 12-hour shifts with weekend rotation. Location: Vista, CA. Duration: 3 months with possible extension or permanent conversion.

Compensation: $20.25 per hour. Benefits available; mileage paid. Requires clean driving record and reliable transportation. Primary responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, maintaining data records, and ensuring specimen integrity

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required in state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens according to procedures.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Explain venipuncture process to patients in a courteous manner.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage conditions.
• Verify test requisitions and labels for accuracy.
