Job summary

Henderson Group Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist in Greenwich, CT. The role supports blood collection, specimen labeling, processing, and compliance with safety and lab procedures. It is a contract position with potential for permanent placement after approximately three months.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of venipuncture experience, a valid state Phlebotomy certification, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 12 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Understand physicians' orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Pack specimens for transport and ensure proper temperature and labeling.
