Job summary

Henderson Group in Ashland, OR is seeking a phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent hire. The schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5pm, with off every other Friday.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, data recording, specimen transport, and ensuring OSHA/DEP compliance. The role requires valid phlebotomy certification, 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and transports as required.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimens and package specimens for transport.
• Follow OSHA/DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
