Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Ashland, OR. The position requires experience with blood draws, specimen labeling, and proper transport procedures, with a 3-month duration and potential for permanent placement.

Your responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen processing, data recording, and adherence to OSHA/DEP regulations, while maintaining patient-friendly communication and accurate labeling.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage.
