Job summary

Eden Capital Careers is seeking a Phlebotomist in Columbus, GA, on a contract basis with potential to convert to permanent. The role requires 3 years of phlebotomy experience and offers benefits. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with possible location shifts. Duration is 3 months with a chance for permanence.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and ensuring proper transport and storage. Compliance with OSHA and department training is required.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification valid for the state of employment.
• At least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens according to procedures.
• Centrifuge specimens and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Update patient information and document requisition forms.
• Package and transport specimens while ensuring specimen integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in required trainings.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
