Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners in Owasso, OK is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment with potential for permanent conversion. You will collect blood samples, label specimens, and ensure proper handling under OSHA guidelines.

The role runs Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, for about 3 months with potential extension. Prior venipuncture experience and MS Office proficiency are preferred, along with a state-required phlebotomy certification.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required by state where employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Experience drawing blood, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles as required.
• Understand physician orders and match requisitions to specimens.
• Package specimens for transport and store per required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and relay laboratory results as needed.
