Job summary

SourcePro Search, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for an Owasso, OK assignment. Schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The position is a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, and proper storage while adhering to OSHA/DEP regulations. Requires phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Understand all physicians' orders and match requisitions to tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and store per required temperatures.
