CareerNerds, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a short-term contract in Owasso, OK. The role involves blood draws, specimen handling, labeling, and following procedures to maintain sample integrity.

You will work Mon-Fri 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, for a 3-month assignment with potential for permanent hire, and you will receive benefits. Prior venipuncture experience and a phlebotomy certification are required.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the employing state.
• At least 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging, and recording maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens per established procedures; explain venipuncture to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles; ensure specimen integrity.
• Match requisitions to tubes; label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Package specimens for transport; comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and trainings.
