Your Talent Team in Owasso, OK, is seeking a Phlebotomist (Position 6029) on a contract basis with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, for 3 months with possible extension. Primary duties include blood draws, specimen labeling, and process optimization within a clinical lab.

The role requires venipuncture experience, a state phlebotomy certificate, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Benefits are available through the agency and team.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by state.
• At least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and record maintenance data.
• Collect and store specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Follow physicians' orders and match requisitions to tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens per test order.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer calls and read results to respond to inquiries.
