Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a phlebotomist for a contract role in the Austin area. The position involves floating to multiple Austin-area locations, performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and adhering to OSHA/DEP procedures.

Mileage is reimbursed and the project duration is about 3 months with potential for permanent hire. The role requires a valid phlebotomy certification, at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting, and

Qualifications

Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED.
minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge, and document maintenance data.
Collect and store specimens per procedures.
Explain venipuncture process clearly; demonstrate technique.
Review physicians' orders.
Match requisitions to specimens and package for transport.
Store specimens at required temperatures and label accurately.
Attend annual department trainings.
Answer phone calls and relay results.
