Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in the Austin area. The position involves floating between sites, performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and ensuring proper sample handling and transport. Mileage expenses are paid, and a clean driving record is required.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am–5pm; duration initially 3 months with potential for permanent placement. Candidates should have a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required in the employing state.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in fast-paced labs or hospitals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and basic specimen processing.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
• Attend annual department trainings and adhere to OSHA/DEP rules.
