Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in the San Antonio, TX area. The position covers locations within a 10-15 mile radius with a Monday–Friday 7am–5:30pm schedule (8-hour shifts).

Qualified applicants will have at least 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting and hold a state phlebotomy certification. Benefits are available for this contract role.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification required in the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, and handle specimens per protocol.
• Maintain accurate maintenance data and documentation.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients and caregivers.
• Package and transport specimens following safety regulations.
• Adhere to OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
