Job summary

Your Talent Team is seeking a Phlebotomist for aVista, CA location on a 6 AM–6 PM schedule, Monday–Friday with weekend rotation. This 3-month contract offers potential for permanent placement and provides benefits. Pay is $20.25 per hour, with mileage reimbursements and travel flexibility to PSC locations.

Responsibilities include blood collection, specimen labeling, and proper handling from collection to transport, while adhering to safety protocols and departmental trainings.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique with straight and butterfly needles.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimens and package for transport.
• Maintain specimen integrity and comply with OSHA regulations.
