Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment in Oceanside, CA. You will perform venipuncture, label and process specimens, and maintain accurate patient information following established procedures.

Shifts are 6 AM–6 PM, Monday to Friday, with weekend rotation. The projected duration is about 3 months, with potential for permanent placement. Mileage expenses are reimbursed and a benefits package is available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED required (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws (venipuncture) and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Decontamination and updating patient information as required.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure accuracy of test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage conditions.
