Job summary

Labcorp in Vernon, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered team. You will perform blood collection, handle specimen processing and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a phlebotomy certification or equivalent training, or 3 months of experience, with pay range about $17.75–$24 per hour and occasional travel to other sites. This position offers stability and opportunities to grow within Labcorp’s extensive network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
